Softball Thank You Card with a Pop

The regular softball season is over and as a special thanks to the coaches and team manager, I created this thank you card for one of my daughters' teams.  The card has pictures of the 12 players on the pop-up 3D ball as well as the team picture when they won the championship on the left side, and a place to hold a gift card on the right side when opened.  The girls also signed the card.  I intentionally blurred the players faces since I didn't want to have to ask for permission.

The tricky part was trying to decide how to close the card without having it bulge out too much.  Originally, I thought the two softball brads and string would hold it down  -- it didn't.  I finally added the elastic cord and that held it down better as shown in the photo.

I also hand stitched the softball laces with red embroidery floss.

And lastly, the ball with the pictures is removable.  The red circle is held in place with Velcros to allow them to remove the pop-up and put on their desk or wherever.  I also typed the girls' name in a circle on the Real Red card stock (blurred it for privacy).  I made a total of three. For this card, the dimensions when closed is 6-1/2" x 6-1/2". I have three more to make for my other daughter's team -- these will be 6" x 6".  Thanks for looking!

Last Wednesday, I was invited to a Foster City Mothers' Club event. It was a great event and I was very happy to show the moms how to create a quick and simple 6"x6" scrapbook page with the latest Sweet Scoops clear-mount stamp set (available in the Summer Mini Catalog on page 10).

Stampin' Up! supplies used:
  • Stamps: Sweet Scoops (120078), Celebrate Everything (114942), Clear Mount Block A (118487), Block C (118486)
  • Paper: Pixie Pink (105121), Chocolate Chip (102128), Whisper White (100730
  • Ink: Pixie Pink (105212), Creamy Caramel (103220)
  • Accessories: 1-3/8" Circle Punch (104401), Scallop Circle Punch (109043), Stampin' Dimensionals (104430)
If scrapbooking is not what you want, you can fold this 6"x6" page in half and you now have a 6" x 3" card.

To help promote my business, I also created this flyer/business card information using My Digital Studio (118108).

Magnetic Build-A-Bear Workshop Dress Me Up Activity Kit

This is my May project for Craft Project Central.  It's an activity kit that will provide great entertainment for your little ones.  The tin contains magnetic bears, clothes and accessories.  A matching canvas bag can hold your dress me up activity kit along with snacks, crayons, and more. (For the bear on the canvas bag, I tried to find material at the fabric stores to match the SU Pawsitively Prints Designers Series Paper -- that was a challenge -- I think I came close).  All of this is made with the Big Shot machine and Build-A-Bear Workshop (BABW) dies.  Love the Big Shot!  I think I'll have more projects coming up with the BABW items.
